  Stopped in for lunch on a whim. Gotta say the food was great. I kept it simple with hot and sour soup followed by orange chicken. Soup was good and the chicken was great. I would definitely repeat.

  I would give Grand Oriental zero stars if possible. They are incompetent at take-out orders. I called in an order and was told it would be ready in 30-35 minutes. 65 minutes later my food was still not ready. Even worse, I could see that eat-in customers who had walked into the restaurant well after I had called in my order were being served their meals. The manager had the audacity to tell me (and several others who were waiting for their take-out order) that they were busy and it would be just a few more minutes. The restaurant was busy but not that busy...there were many open tables. Maybe their kitchen was short-handed...who knows.
  
  I guess I can understand them wanting to prioritize their eat-in customers, but there is no excuse for consciously misleading their take-out customers. Rather than quoting me a time he knew he couldn't fulfill, and then leading me on with his disingenuous comment that it would only be a few more minutes, he should have just been honest with me and said his kitchen is overwhelmed tonight and it will take a very long time to handle take-out orders. Based on my experience, I can only conclude that the owner/manager running this place tonight is one really bad guy! Stay away!

  Great food and beautiful decor. The staff made us feel like friends or regulars. We were celebrating a birthday and our waitress, without asking brought some ice cream for a kid who did not like the cake. It was very thoughtful. We will definitely eat here again.
